I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is about the horticultural interest of George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison. While I knew that Washington, Jefferson, and Madison had plantations in Virginia, I didn't realize how innovative and forward thinking they were in their agricultural endeavors. The book is interesting and well written. The notes, appendices, drawings, and bibliography are excellent resources for anyone interested in the gardens and farms of these Founding Fathers.
