“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

I read those books so long ago
As we were Fulltime RVers for years, I saw many bumper stickers with the one line of this poem" not all who wander are lost". ... Which well describes the semi nomadic lifestyle of RV wanderers! But I had forgotten the rest of the poem ( having read the book when I was very young). Now there are obviously other words in it that resonate more (in my older years))... Many thanks for posting ... A wonderful meditation for me!
