May Thoughts

“It is easy in the world to live after the world’s opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

As with so many of Emerson's quotes are perfect for this day and age.

Because I'm too lazy to go back and search for the post this belongs on I will leave this comment here (especially since you monitor your posts and can just read and toss). Just wanted to let you know that I made your Farmhouse Chicken-Corn-crockpot chowder and we loved it! A keeper recipe for sure. Thanks for posting it.

Sallie, I’m so glad you liked the Farmhouse Chicken Chowder. That reminds me that I haven’t made it in a while! Maybe sometime in June. When are you leaving for Oregon?

We are leaving Florida a week from today -- flying -- taking a kind of circuitous route.
