October Cooking - Applesauce Raisin Spice Cake



1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 3/4 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon 
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup oil 
1 3/4 cup applesauce 
3 eggs
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Spray 9X13 inch pan with nonstick spray. 
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and spices into a large bowl. 
Add applesauce, oil, and eggs bearing at medium speed for 2 minutes.  
Stir in raisins and nuts.
Turn into prepared pan and bake 40 - 44 minutes. 
Cool before frosting. 

Cream Cheese Frosting

1/2 cup butter
1 8 oz. cream cheese
1 lb. box powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
