Plans for 2018 — June Update

Plans for 2018

1. Learn to make Sourdough Bread — not done. 

2. Learn to make something with Butternut Squash. (Mostly this means learning how to  get into it.) — not done

3. Make 2 Scrap Quilts and 1 from new material — 2 finished and 1 in progress

4. Read 52 books — 32 books read

5. Trips:
     A. NYC — done 
     B. National Butterfly Center — done
     C. National Gallery — done 
     D. Pawhuska, OK to see PW’s Merc — reservations made for October 

6. Home Improvements 
     A. New Stovetop 
     B. New living room furniture 

7. Expand Butterfly garden — done

8. Work on Political campaigns for House and Senate — in progress

9. Self Improvement 
     None. I’m fine. — still aok

You accomplished more than I even dream of.... especially #8 and related activism. And #3 which I wouldn't have any idea of how to even start thinking about. So yes, #9. you are definitely more than fine.

but on #2, microwave that baby for a few minutes (poke holes in it with a fork) until it's soft enough to cut, then de-seed and roast it. Or you could buy a carton of it already peeled and chunked up and ready for the oven (at least you can here at Whole Foods or in Florida at Publix. Do you have an HEB? I bet they have it that way.

Sallie, what a great idea! I can definitely microwave it and then cut into it!! It will probably be autumn before I get a butternut squash but now I have hope that I can get into it. Thank you!!
